| How can i clear creditcard debt
Hi all,new here,hope you can help point me in right direction on what to do with regards repaying a credit card debt of £2,000 which i took in 2000, and have been paying each and every month by direct debit the first 4 years the repayment amount was £83 monthly,and this was then reduced to £50 each and every month for the remaining years upto present day yet my outstanding amount left too repay is £1,800.
Despite paying by direct debit i have been charged on numerous occassions for late fee payment and i am charged £35 interest rate every prepayment taken from my bank account which basically means im actually repaying something in the region of between approx £15-£8 i think. Im useless with numbers and dont know what too do with regards clearing this debt quickly.I did ask my bank if they would freeze the interest so that i could clear this debt and they refused and said that they want higher payments every month and the interest will continue. any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanx.
